ZIMA presents: A charity afternoon tea with a cooking masterclass to help children beat cancer

In 2021 Gift of Life celebrates 10 years of helping children beat cancer. To mark the occasion ZIMA will hold an online charity afternoon tea party with a cooking masterclass on 8th of March in support of the charity.

The event will be hosted by Gift of Life patron Princess Catherine Galitzine (Katya) alongside Zima editor and celebrity chef Alexei Zimin as part of ‘Russian Week In London Festival Maslenitsa’.

The concept celebrates a blend of Russian and English traditions, with Alexei giving his tips and insights on how to bake the perfect traditional Russian dessert of honey cake, while Katya shares some traditions of afternoon tea and family history.

The event will be held in Russian

TICKETS

  • General admission - £60
  • VIP ticket - £100 (includes a copy of OUR LONDON guide by ZIMA magazine with an autograph of Alexei Zimin)

The recommended donation entry of £100 is an equivalent of the cost of one pack of Probenecid, an essential medication, which supports kidney function during cancer treatment.

Book your ticket today you could help children like seven-year-old Narmina continue receiving life-saving treatment!

  • Narmina, our little beneficiary from the city of Birobidzhan, Russia, has been undergoing a complex treatment for immunodeficiency for over four years. Recently she required a course of Probenicid after a bone marrow transplant. Sadly, the medicine isn't available in her country, but Gift of Life promptly paid for the drug to be delivered from Germany, to ensure she received the necessary treatment on time and could recover. Now Narmina is doing well, she’s currently homeschooled and continues her passionate hobby of dancing.

You can help us save many children like Narmina by joining our online celebration of Russian and English culture, good conversation, excellent honey and much more.

All the funds raised will benefit the important work of Gift of Life, helping children beat cancer in Russia. In 10 years the foundation has already spent over £7.7 million to support hundreds of children and young adults in their fight against dangerous diseases. With your help we can do so much more.
